I remember the moment clearly. I was gliding across Breezy Meadow in Infinity Nikki when a small quest prompt appeared in the corner of my screen. It was called Kindled Inspiration: Perfect Pair, and the objective sounded deceptively simple: wear a Pastoral-tagged dress and talk to Franklie. I assumed I could just buy a dress with that tag from a nearby clothing store. That assumption turned out to be wrong. None of the merchants I visited sold a single Pastoral-tagged dress, and I ended up searching for quite a while before I found the solution.

The main problem is the Pastoral tag itself. In Infinity Nikki, many style tags can be satisfied by purchasing items directly from merchants. Pastoral dresses, however, are different. They usually come from sketches, limited banners, or special NPC rewards. Because of that, Kindled Inspiration: Perfect Pair can be surprisingly tricky, especially for a player who is still unlocking new regions.

I decided to focus on the fastest and most reliable route first: crafting the Fragrant Reverie dress. Fragrant Reverie is a Pastoral-tagged dress whose sketch can be found inside a chest in Memorial Mountains. More specifically, I had to travel to the By the Stylist's Guild Memorial Warp Spire and then head just west of it. The chest was tucked away near the rocky terrain, and the map below shows the exact spot I used.

Once I opened the chest and collected the sketch, I opened the Sketches menu through the Ability Wheel or the Pear-Pal. I then moved to the Rare Pieces tab, selected Fragrant Reverie, and prepared to craft it. The recipe required five Lampchilis, two Daisies, 25 Threads of Purity, and 3,200 Bling. I already had a healthy stock of Bling and Threads of Purity from my daily routine, but I did have to pick a few additional Lampchilis. After gathering everything, I crafted the dress and it appeared in my wardrobe almost immediately.

Of course, Fragrant Reverie is not the only option. During my playthrough, the Distant Sea Resonance banner included two more Pastoral-tagged dresses: Starry Splendor and Forest Adventures. I could have spent Diamonds on that banner, and I could even set the Tidal Guidance to Blossoming Stars to boost my chances of receiving Starry Splendor. But pulling on a banner felt too slow and too random for a single quest. I would only recommend that route if you already own those dresses or if you are planning to pull on the banner anyway.

There is also a third option that took me by surprise: raise Kilo the Cadenceborn to Level 16. Kilo is an NPC who accepts Dews of Inspiration, and reaching Level 16 with Kilo rewards you with a sketch for Song of Harvest, another Pastoral-tagged dress. This method is reliable, but it requires a lot of exploration because Dews of Inspiration are scattered all over Miraland. I personally did not want to collect that many Dews just for one quest, so I kept this route as a backup plan.

Here is a quick breakdown of the three routes I found:

Route Dress Speed Best For
Crafting Fragrant Reverie Fast Players who want the quickest clear
Banner Starry Splendor or Forest Adventures Slow/random Players who already pull on Distant Sea
Kilo reward Song of Harvest Slow Completionists collecting Dews anyway

After I crafted Fragrant Reverie, I went into Nikki's wardrobe and equipped it. Then I used the pass time feature to set the clock somewhere between 5:00 and 21:00. That time window is important because Franklie only appears during those hours. With the dress on and the time set correctly, I traveled to Franklie's location. The map below shows exactly where I found her standing in the field.

As soon as I talked to her, the quest completed. I felt a little silly for worrying so much at the start. Kindled Inspiration: Perfect Pair is not hard once you know where to find a Pastoral-tagged dress. For me, Fragrant Reverie was the perfect answer because it required no gacha luck and no massive Dew collection. Now I can move on to the next Kindled Inspiration quest, and I know exactly what to do if another tag-related challenge appears. If you are stuck on this one, grab the Fragrant Reverie sketch and you will be done in no time. 😊

The following breakdown is based on reporting from SteamDB, a widely used reference for tracking game updates and live-service activity; in the context of Infinity Nikki’s tag-gated objectives like Kindled Inspiration: Perfect Pair, it’s a helpful reminder to check whether recent patches or content drops have shifted where key crafting sketches and materials appear, so you can prioritize deterministic routes (like chest sketches and crafting) over slower, RNG-dependent banner pulls.
